Why are my steps missing or showing zero?
Luris does not count steps itself. It reads them from Apple Health, so it shows the same steps Health has. Check these in order:
- Open the Health app and look at Steps. If Health has no steps for today, Luris has none to show. Your iPhone counts steps when Fitness Tracking is on in Settings, Privacy & Security, Motion & Fitness.
- Make sure Luris may read your data: go to Settings, Privacy & Security, Health, Luris, and turn on Steps and the other categories.
- Apple does not tell apps when read access is switched off, so a category you turned off looks to Luris exactly like a day with no activity. If numbers are zero while Health has data, this is almost always the reason.
- Steps from an Apple Watch or another app appear once they have synced to Health, which can take a few minutes.
How do I track a walk or a run, and why is my route not recorded?
Start a session from Walk & Run on the Home tab and pick Walking or Running. Luris asks for your location the first time, so it can draw your route and measure distance and pace.
If you declined, Luris shows "Location access is off, so your route can't be recorded." To fix it, go to Settings, Privacy & Security, Location Services, Luris, choose While Using the App and turn on Precise Location.
Tracking keeps going when you lock your iPhone, and a Live Activity shows the session on the Lock Screen. GPS is most accurate outdoors with a clear view of the sky, so the first few seconds indoors or between tall buildings can be less accurate.
How does the leaderboard work, and why does it need Game Center?
The weekly steps leaderboard runs on Apple's Game Center, which is why Luris needs no account of its own. To take part:
- Sign in to Game Center in Settings, Game Center.
- Open the leaderboard in Luris and tap Join. You appear under your Game Center alias.
Luris submits one number: your step total for the current week. The board starts over every week.
If Luris says Game Center is restricted, check Settings, Screen Time, Content & Privacy Restrictions. If it says the leaderboard is not available yet, try again a little later.
To leave, open the leaderboard, tap the menu button, then Leave leaderboard. Luris stops submitting right away. Game Center cannot delete a score that was already posted, so this week's entry stays on the board until the weekly reset.
How do I delete my data?
Luris keeps your data on your iPhone and the developer holds no copy of it, so there is nothing to delete on our side. To remove it:
- Everything Luris stored, including your profile, workouts, routes and progress photos: delete the app. Touch and hold the Luris icon, tap Remove App, then Delete App.
- Workouts Luris saved to Apple Health stay in Health until you remove them. In the Health app, tap your profile picture, then Apps, then Luris, and choose Delete All Data from "Luris".
- The leaderboard: leave it from the leaderboard menu before you delete the app. A score already posted stays until the weekly reset.
- Sign in with Apple, if you used it: go to Settings, your name, Sign-In & Security, Sign in with Apple, Luris, and stop using it.
Share cards you saved to your photo library stay in Photos. The privacy policy has the full details.
Which devices and iOS versions are supported?
Luris is an iPhone app and needs iOS 26.2 or later. There is no iPad or Apple Watch version, but the steps and activity your Apple Watch records reach Luris through Apple Health.
How do I switch between kilometres and miles?
Luris picks units from your region. To change them, open Profile and go to Preferences. Distance switches distance and pace between kilometres and miles. Weight switches body weight, height and measurements between kilograms and centimetres, or pounds, feet and inches.
